In a lonely small room they are lost
abandoned by hope, alone, afraid of the void
Just one source of light finds its way trough the
cracks of the thick bricks,

all are abandoned but not by the nurse.
A broken nurse who’s monotone heavily medicated voice
Echoes trough their empty shells.

Their shells are empty, way beyond repair,
and her voice is numbed by pain,
but the hint of warmth still radiates trough,
The love of a broken nurse, set on guard

eyes gloom motionless in the light, but they can’t see
even the most beautiful music passes them, without a grasp.
They are lost, but the nurse saves them,
the nurse is never leaving here post, never backing down.

She is the guardian of those abandoned by their own souls.

yesterday I helped a broken nurse
maintain the shells of those who
once were functioning humans, now their
just shells..... its sad
